South Florida hardcore/punk band Meth Mouth has returned with their second 7 inch release "Waste Of Life", a crushing 11 song blast of hateful powerviolence played just the way it should be: raw, hard as nails and incredibly bleak. These 11 songs fly by in the blink and an eye and the band destroys everything in their path. Highly recommended for fans of raw and uncompromising hardcore/powerviolence All and all, these new songs show the band moving forward into an even more volatile unit that will be sure to turn many heads in the future. You can stream the release below, and from their bandcamp (linked above) you can also find a free/donation based download, as well as a link to order a physical copy of the 7 inch as well.
Southern Lord Recordings is extremely excited to announce the CD release of Torch Runner's full length "Committed To The Ground". North Carolina's Torch Runner viciously brings forth a volatile, pissed-off brew of metallic, downbeat punk/hardcore/grind, for fiends that are into filth like: (OLD) Napalm Death Dead In The Dirt, Weekend Nachos, and Nails. This is a CD release of their debut album that was previously only available on vinyl. Their forthcoming album will be released on Southern Lord in a few months, with more information pertaining that release coming shortly.
For the time being, enjoy this absolutely punishing single entitled "Feeding".
It's very rare that we're sent music from bands based out of Budapest, so this was an extremely awesome surprise. Fans of Trap Them, The Secret, and Cursed should definitely look into checking this out.
It seems I personally have been waiting forever to hear this demo and now the wait is finally over. Traitor Crucifix are a disgustingly heavy and devastating hardcore band from Tampa, Florida featuring members of bands such as Bastard Deceiver, Cellgraft, Faith Addiction, Landbridge and Sacridose among many others. Based on the members previous/other current bands it's no surprise to hear the band completely nail their sound and annihilate worlds on these initial recordings. At just over 10 minutes, the band rips through 5 songs of crushing d-beat influenced hardcore. Imagine Hoax playing a bit faster and with even more of a vicious nature and you'll start to get an idea of where things are heading. This release marks the first of hopefully many from this incredibly promising newer band.
Symptom are a brand new Boston based punk/d-beat/noisy hardcore band clearly influenced by Japanese bands such as D-Clone and Gauze while adding their own attitude and style into the mix as well, making for something that caught my ear instantly upon listening . In fact, the band closes this excellent release out with a ripping cover of Gauze's "Pressing On" and absolutely nails it, and their original songs aren't anything to take lightly either. Raw, harsh and uncompromising, this is an outstanding first introduction to the band and I'm looking forward to seeing what sonic destruction they craft in the future. Highly recommended.
Bad Human are a two piece powerviolence that hails from Florida and "The Bad Demo" represents the band's first recordings which prove to be incredibly promising indeed. Raw, stripped down in the best way possible and crushingly heavy and ugly, fans of bands such as Spazz, Iron Lung and Weekend Nachos would do well to check this out immediately. If you are interested in a physical copy of the release as well as other information, contact their guitarist/vocalist via email HERE
"Get This Right Records is preparing to release a bulldozing split between two heavy-hitters in the contemporary hardcore circuit: a brutal showdown between Pennsylvania's Benchpress and Puerto Rico's Martyr's Tongue. The following press release was issued about the bands:
"Based out of Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Benchpress formed in 2011 initially as a joke, the goal being to write beatdown anthems for gym-rats. Having developed into the metal-tinged, hard-hitting powerhouse the band is nowadays is the product of several lineup, influence and outlook changes over recent years, and with two EPs and a prior split under their belt, the quintet's future appears to be nothing but promising. Benchpress' venomous surge of hardcore in the realm of veterans Cold As Life and Merauder and on par with modern acts Suburban Scum, Empire of Rats and Harm's Way, is displayed through two tracks on side A of this new split, 'Penance' and 'Pissed Away,' recorded, produced and mastered by Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
"San Juan, Puerto Rico-based Martyr's Tongue lays down a landslide of pandemonium as corrosive as it is pulverizing. With several demos, splits and EPs released since 2001, the self-proclaimed 'five audio terrorists preaching world genocide through sonic warfare' unleash a brand of metallic mayhem born of the dark lords of Cleveland, Ringworm and Integrity, contemporized with more harsh noise, grime and electronic elements, putting them in the race with Rot In Hell, Full of Hell, Blind To Faith and the like. Their two anthems, 'Deconstructive Process' and 'Unholy Communion,' were mastered by Axel in San Juan, mercilessly overthrowing the B-side of this split platter.
The split is due out on vinyl and as a digital download on May 8th. The track listing is as follows:
Crisis Unit are a brand new punk/hardcore band out of Tampa, Florida."The Tape" features their first recordings, 4 aggressive and straight to the point hardcore songs that will sit well with fans of bands such as Carry On, Panic and Some Kind Of Hate. This is honestly one of the best/most promising demos that I have heard from a new band in quite some time, and I've already spun it quite a few times since it was sent to me last night. It's great to see yet another promising hardcore band emerge from my backyard and I'm looking forward to watching this band grow in the future. Stream/download it at their bandcamp linked above or grab it via the link below.
Two new songs from South Florida grindcore/powerviolence outfit Super Mutant. This band has been steadily evolving into a force to be reckoned with in Florida's extreme music community for quite some time, and these new songs show the band in their most unrelenting and vicious form to date. Both of these songs are demo versions of tracks that will be included on a 7 inch "Twisting Beneath The Surface" that will be available later this year, so definitely keep an eye out for that and keep an eye out for Super Mutant when they inevitably hit your town as well. Highly recommended for fans of devastating bands such as Despise You, Mind Eraser and Surroundings.
We over here at Toxicbreed's Funhouse couldn't be more excited to bring you a full stream of the new EP from Michigan Hardcore outfit Great Reversals. Back in late April of 2012 we were lucky enough to premier a full stream of the bands EP entitled "To the Ends of the Earth". Here we are almost two years later with a stream of the bands brand new EP entitled "Natural Burial". Great Reversals represent a category of Hardcore that's 100% passionate with their message and lyrics. Which I completely love. If you're a fan of bands along the lines of Trial, this will be completely up your alley.
